Access to PACS
Diagnostic Imaging of Salem strives to provide referring physicians with the tools to expedite patient care. We offer access to our PACS via client software you can download below, or schedule a time and we will install it on your systems. We also offer electronic results through the MVIPA NextGen system. If you do not use NextGen, and you would like to explore the possibilities of receiving results directly into your EMR, call our IS Director to schedule an appointment to discuss your options.
We now offer a faster option for accessing images online. Instead of running the PACS client software on your computer, you can now make a connection to our server and run our PACS application remotely. This lets the servers do all of the "hard work" and minimal data is sent to your system. Instead of waiting 5 to 10 minutes for large studies (such as CT scans) to download, you can now have the entire study ready to view in seconds. The install is simple and quick; you just need to request to be setup on our end with user credentials.This also elimates the problem of our software conflicting with other PACS software on your computer; since the program is not actually installed on your computer. All of the remote technology is transparent to the end user, in that the programs appears as if it were running on the local computer.
